Garkuwa Humanitarian and Development Initiative is a Nigerian humanitarian and development organisation working with vulnerable communities across northeast Nigeria.
We work alongside communities, local authorities and partners to deliver protection, education and community resilience programming. Our teams are recruited locally, decisions are taken with community leadership, and results are tracked, reported and published so that partners and communities can see what their support achieves.
Our work is guided by humanitarian principles, safeguarding standards and a commitment to transparency and accountability at every level of the organisation.
